Activity 1:
The teacher presents a puppet to the children like a friend and the puppet speak with them explaining the difference between " big " and " small " through the drawings of the tale.
Example: " The elephant is big and the mouse is small " and how is the beetle?? big or small?
Activity 2:
Everybody sing a song with Pimkie the puppet
Song:
Can I look inside your trunk?
Aachoo!!
This is fun!
Now I´m walking up your trunk
Hooray, hooray
Mice are nice!
Age: 4 - 6
When and where: after the assembly.
Procedure:
1. everybody sitting on a mat in a circle, the teacher tell the tale showing the drawings
2. the teacher presents Pimkie the puppet to the children and Pimkie start the game explaining the diference between " big " and " small ".
3. at the end everybody sing a song with the puppet. First the puppet sing alone and after everybody sing together.
Materials: a mat, a tale and a puppet.
Objetives: the children learn the difference between " big " and " small " and learn new english vocabulary.
